Event Project Album

I created this project to hold my cake and cupcake recipe cards. The album is made from Cardboard covered in treat embellished paper and veined vellum paper. The fold out pockets are made from brown paper bags folded in half and covered in coordinating paper to go with the sweet theme. On the top of each recipe card is either a tiered cake or a cupcake cut from my Cricut Expressions. The sides fold in and when all together it looks like a photo album.

Scrapbook Memory Card

I came up with this idea because my daughter needed to submit a new and creative way to display photos related to a certain subject for a school project. It needed to be at least 12 photos and writing discribing the photo. The teacher was looking for no more then one page (kinda like poster board) and to make it more interesting I had her submit one like this instead.  I glued the photos into the squares and then wrote information related to the pictures in the triangles. I made this one first to use as the templet to create the one for the school project. The Card size was 9 x 9 and it was just 2 pieces of cardboard covered in scrapbook paper and a ribbon mounted under the cover to hold the two squares together. The inside is three 12 x 12 scrapbook pages of your choose folded and glued together by the corners.

Happy Birthday Card

I created three cards with similar backgrounds for three birthdays days apart. Each one I used sugar and spice everyday paper. With a solid color for the background border and just white cardstock. I love the ribbons that have poke-a-dots on them and a button for the center. I used my cuttlebug with the poke-a-dot die to emboss it. I punched out a tag in two different colors and just stamped Happy Birthday to the center.

Happy Birthday Cupcake Card

Here was card number two with same background and pink poke-a-dot ribbon and tags. But this one I added a cupcake cut from Sweet Treats Cartridge on my Cricut Expression and added pink jems to the cupcake border.

Fall Card

I did this card after taking a class with Stampin Up. I bought the fall leafs stamp set and was not sure what I was gonna used them on. I used a piece of cork paper cut on a angle to throw off the traditional straight lines used on most cards. I used solid colored paper for background and under border and for the stamp borders as well. I actually had a matching stamp pad the same color red as the paper i decided to use that I had in my Craft Room. I really like this card and it was simple to make once I got started. The cork paper is a little pricey so I would suggest to position it before you decide to make it permanent on your card.

Coffee Sign

This was made for the break room at work using Cricut and Cricut Cartridge, From my Kitchen. I used the fonts for the words, Price, Coffee and Cup. I used Soft Nostalgia - Hot Off The Press, Inc paper for the coffee cup and the pitcher. The background was off white cardstock. This was a quick design but I think it turned out cute.

Sympathy Card

I made this card for a coworker and got the inspiration from a friend of mine. I am all about quick and easy ideas. I used plain white cardstock for the card and used my Martha Stewarts Score Board to make the card and envelope. I then decided to dress it up by using one of my favorite cuttlebug dies.. I added flower paper embellishments randomly to this card and dressed it up with center jems of the same color as the flowers. I used a stamp that I had on hand that says With Sympathy.

Craft Projects

I recently made Popcorn Bags and Thank You lifesaver binkys for my Daughter-In-Law's Baby Shower.
I created the design on my computer and even uploaded the baby's ultrasound picture for the belly. I used the cuttlebug to emboss polka dots on the white paper and used the xeron to hold it ALL together. The binkys were made with royal icing and white lifesavers and jelly bellys.
Each popcorn bag was filled with white chocolate covered popcorn, that looked like plain old popcorn until they tried it....Surprise.....
I bet you could not guess what the theme was, that's right you guessed it...Zebra Strip....and HOT pink to boot..
